Our market has recently been filled by products supplied by overseas manufacturers. These fake laptop AC adapters are not authentic and are either unsafe for use with your notebook computer or will fail within a short amount of time. These AC adapters are frequently sold with labels and are referred to as "Original equipment" or "OEM", leaving it up to the unsuspecting consumer to be sure they are purchasing a genuine product.

While you shouldn't have to pay an arm and a leg for a replacement laptop computer AC adapter, you should be wary of the ultra-cheap adapter also.  The genuine Dell AC adapters sold by PowerBrixx.com will always be manufactured by Dell and will be protected by our warranty.

Dell laptop computers utilize a variety of laptop AC adapters. Many of the older Dell notebook computers required the PA-2 or PA-6 AC adapter, which were 65W adapters. Early P4 Dell laptops upgraded to the PA-9 AC adapter with an output of 90W. Later P4 Dell Inspiron and Latitude notebooks progressed to a new style of adapter, either the PA-12 at 65W or the PA-10 at 90W. More recently, some Dell laptops with very high power requirements have utilized the PA-13 or PA-15 AC adapters with 130W and 150W respectively.
